About Us
Have been involved with Cattle, Horse and other Livestock. Some handy dogs from town mutts and border collies. Weather forcasting comes with many years of needing to know ahead when to plan for hay. Being able to read one year ahead from ground conditions and Sky!!
Worked on the large Cattle stations in in the 1970's before buying a truck and contract carting the small square bales on the Vic NSW border before heading back to NW Queensland to start a small project at Mount Isa using town effluent water. Then not being able to buy a good mower conditioner set about building my own which worked as well as made, I don't pretend to be worry about the finish and styling. With the option to operate as a mower and option of attaching roller conditioners in frame, or other if require forage blower.
Crops from Lucerne , Oats to Forage Sorghum are easily handled being conditioned to pasture grass's are cut and wind-rowed when mowed
When I demonstrated at Dalby Qld when other brand mower conditioner with Roller conditioner, the green barley cut by the Hay Bird TM was dried faster allowing it to be be baled the same colour as standing . Compared to the other cooking and going white in the windrow.
The same came to using the sickle bar front on the open downs I built it to cut at minimum 3” or 80mm to cut above the stones and tussocks to get the best grass and leave to dirt on the grown. While the design may not please many customer satisfaction in a better quality product .
